About the Foundation
The Foundation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, within the meaning of Section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code. The primary purpose of the Foundation is to promote philanthropy and charitable giving to provide resources to enhance the ability of CHRISTUS Health Shreveport-Bossier in its mission of extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by providing for the community’s health needs. In furtherance of these purposes, the Foundation shall solicit and receive charitable gifts and grants to administer and invest and reinvest the same and to apply the whole or any part of the income and the principal exclusively for the benefit of the health care facilities, services and health community programs supported or operated by CHRISTUS Health Shreveport-Bossier within its service area in Northern Louisiana.

CHRISTUS Foundation Shreveport-Bossier secures and manages charitable contributions from individuals, foundations, and businesses, made in support of all the local CHRISTUS programs and services. As a 501(C)3, non-profit organization, tax-deductible gifts can be made in the form of cash, check, credit care or stocks. You may also include the Foundation in your will and through life insurance.
